The tip of Cap Ferret
Among the pearls of the Gironde is Cap Ferret, which forms a long coastal strip separating the Arcachon Basin and the Atlantic Ocean. Cap Ferret is located on the far south of the Lège-Cap-Ferret peninsula. This peninsula is the most recent geological formation of Gironde. It benefits from an exceptional landscape made up of a very rich natural environment. The tip of Cap Ferret is a 180 ° view of the Pilat dune, the Banc d’Arguin, the Bassin passes and the Atlantic. The grass village
It is a charming, authentic little village in the Arcachon basin, a place to visit and not to be missed. A real postcard. Stroll through the alleys of the famous oyster huts where you can taste good oysters facing a breathtaking view of the Arcachon Bay and the Pilat dune. One of the peculiarities of this village is its chapel called “Sainte Marie” is all that remains of the famous Algerian villa which was built by Léon Lesca in 1885 and destroyed in the 60s. It is located on the beach Boulevard and is charming by its architecture which recalls the Moorish style: duotone of stone, moucharabieh, mosaic tiles and bright colors … This chapel constitutes an important historical heritage of the Cap Ferret peninsula.

This immense reserve classified as natural heritage since 1943 is located on the borders of the Arcachon Basin, to the west at the level of the sandy spire which protects it. This 40-hectare natural park belongs to the Conservation du Littoral and is home to a real botanical treasure and exceptional fauna. You will discover a large concentration of rare specimens, hence the establishment of the rules of good conduct which govern the Reserve in order to preserve this precious biodiversity.
The Grand Crohot ocean beach
The Grand Crohot beach will be your favorite family leisure place during your holidays on the Arcachon basin.
